Robotic Pick and Place System Configurations

Our robotic pick and place machines are available in multiple configurations depending on speed, complexity, and application requirements.

Model/Series Application Typical Example
Single-Axis PTP Series
For picking and placing from one fixed position to another fixed position, where the motion profile at the pick head is a spline curve without vertical trajectory at pick or place points
Placing a leaflet onto a stack
Two-Axis Delta Robot TD2 Series
For picking and placing from one fixed position, where the motion profile at the pick head has a vertical trajectory at pick or place points
Placing products into a carton or case
Three-Axis Delta Robot TD3 Series
For picking and placing from moving positions where the motion profile at the pick head moves in x,y and z-axis. For example, loading flow packs into an infeed of a Cartoner or Flow wrappers
Picking and placing products using Vision guidance
Four-Axis Delta Robot TD3R Series
A version of the TD3 Series, three-axis Delta Robot but where the product must also be rotated or turned during the pick cycle.
Transferring a product through 90 degrees during the pick and place cycle or placing it into a smaller pitch from the pick position
Six -Axis Robot TP6 Series
Tekpak can integrate OEM Palletisers as part of a complete packaging line, including Design of the full packaging line, Programming of the Palletising Cell and Safety Hardware integration.

Robotic Pick and Place Systems - FAQs

What is a robotic pick and place system?

A robotic pick and place system is an automated solution that uses robotic arms to pick products and place them accurately into packaging lines, cartons, trays, or conveyors.

What industries use pick and place automation?

These systems are widely used in pharmaceutical, food, medical device, cosmetics, and confectionery industries.

Can robotic pick and place systems handle different product types?

Yes, systems are designed with flexible end effectors and vision systems to handle a wide range of products including blister packs, vials, bottles, and flow-wrapped items.

Do these systems integrate with existing packaging lines?

Yes, robotic pick and place systems are designed to integrate seamlessly with cartoners, flow wrappers, and case packing systems.

Are the systems compliant with pharmaceutical standards?

Yes, systems can be designed to meet GMP standards and include 21 CFR Part 11 compliant controls for regulated environments.

What speeds can robotic pick and place systems achieve?

Speeds depend on the application, but high-speed delta robots can handle hundreds of picks per minute.

Do you offer custom robotic solutions?
